Hey, I'm Marco, a software engineer based in Zürich, Switzerland. I spend most of my time building infrastructure, writing Go and Rust, and making sure things don't break at 3 AM.
Currently building kubeterm.sh, a managed Kubernetes platform orchestrator where you have full control over your infrastructure but we take care of the hard parts. What makes it unique is that you manage your clusters through a TUI over SSH, or if that's too retro, there's also a nice web UI. You can invite team members and get addons like a full ingress stack out of the box.
I'm also working on Kumo Linux, a personal research project where I explore new ideas and learn about new concepts by building a Linux distribution from scratch following Linux From Scratch. It's "immutable" with A/B partitioning, fully API-driven, and ships with a custom package manager called Ro. Profiles make it flexible enough to run as a server, a Kubernetes node, or a desktop.
When I'm not behind a terminal, I'm somewhere in the Alps with my Mamiya 7 or jamming on guitar. This blog is mostly technical but every now and then I write about whatever else is on my mind.
